Blaaaaack Friday

   On this day every year  you hear tales of people literally trampling each other in shopping malls to get to the deals. It kind of bothers me. Is saving a few bucks worth treating another person like shit and getting into fights over? In my opinion, no. I'm starting to see stores here in Canada following the lead started by the states, and it worries me. I hope the people don't follow suit.

  If you do feel the need to venture into a mall in search for bargains today, please don't be a dick to other customers and most of all the hard working staff of the shops. They have enough shit to deal with today.

To all my friends in retail, Good luck and May the odds be ever in your favor.

May none of you get trampled by rampaging Sheeple.

Well meaning Suburban Crusaders

This one is based off some people I know and is honestly the first thought that goes through my head when I hear the words "Are you really going to throw that out? Don't you know there are children starving in Africa?' Honestly the question is absurd. I am well aware there are all kinds of people starving in places like Africa. Hell there are people starving right here in Canada. While yes we North Americans as a society are pretty wasteful at times I don't think anyone really wants a half eaten sandwich (Go ahead offer one to a homeless person, ten to one says they tell you to fuck off). So while I can appreciate the sentiment of trying to help people (In the most irritating of possible ways) there are better ways of going about it than trying to guilt trip someone.

Dealing with People

Working in Food service lends a certain cynicism to my outlook on the general populace, despite all that I DO WANT to like people... But people can make that difficult. 

St. Paddys

Happy St. Paddy's everyone. My opinion is that beer doesn't need food dye, if you want to drink like an Irishman, have a pint of the Black stuff.
